For Christmas this year, my children are getting four gifts- something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read. As they have gotten older, it has become easier to do since they want fewer, but more expensive things. However, when they were little it would have been difficult to stick to the above rules!
There are so many fun and creative things out there for young kids, and of course, there were the toys, like Tinkle Me Elmer, they had to have. Unfortunately, those toys, that often came with sounds and movement, were quickly forgotten and thrown to the side. The toys that were played with over and over for years were the simple ones, such as blocks, trains, animal replicas, dolls, Legos, Playmobil, art supplies, and of course, books. Here are few book recommendations that make great gifts for the children you cherish (and their parents will thank you for not buying the toy with all the bells and whistles).
I hope you enjoy and have fun finding the perfect book for the child in your life. Please, add your own recommendations below!
